David Reed was our general contractor when we began to build  our “Dream Home” in August, 2012. After planning it for many years, Linda and I were seniors and close to retiring when we finally started to build.  We can’t began to say enough about David’s patience and friendly smile, even when we made suggestions or changes. He always welcomed our input and was eager to please us. Never did he make us feel uneasy about anything we asked.

 

Our house is very unique and had a lot of custom specialized accents.  A couple of the accents were a dry stacked joint in our stone work where each stone had to be chipped and fitted together like a jigsaw puzzle. The other was a modified weeping mortar joint in our brick work and no one had done the modified weeping mortar joint before. David employed master craftsman to accomplish these in a perfect way. All our subs were master craftsman and that is why we had such an enjoyable time building our home; it was a wonderful experience. Before construction and as we were under construction David made several very good architectural recommendations that enhanced our design and made it even better than the original architectural plans.

 

We were traveling, Monday thru Friday, in our business during much of the construction and  coming in on weekends was always so exciting.

 

We would recommend David to anyone who wants an honest and dependable contractor that can be trusted and, also, with him have an enjoyable time with their project!

I have known David  Reed thru the community,  as fellow member of the Mint Hill Rotary and we attend Philadelphia Presbyterian Church together. When David advised he had his own construction company  2 mths ago,  It was very timely as we needed several projects done at our house and thru David he was able to Quote &  coordinate all the 8 projects and oversee these while we were on Vacation for a week.  Some of the projects were inside the house and we feel we know David and his ethics and trust him  well enough we left a key to our house with him.  When we returned all the work was completed to our satisfaction with top quality materials. I approached David Reed, owner of DRC about helping me design a cabinet system for our newly built home.  Dave came over to my home and took some measurements and in a couple of days he had a design that absolutely worked beautiful for me.  The cabinet system installed gave me plenty of storage and freed up the clutter that was present.  I strongly recommend his firm for any building needs.  He went over and above normal installation recommendation.  One can be assured through his pride and effort in workmanship, a quality product will be given.

David Reed recently completed a refurbishing of our backyard deck from wood composite to etched cement.  From the outset of the project to its end, Mr. Reed communicated with us on a daily basis so we would know what was happening on any given day.  He used a number of subcontractors on this job because of its scope, and each of them was highly skilled and professional.  His ability to schedule these subcontractors so that the project kept moving at a steady pace was remarkable.  No stones go unturned because of his eye for detail.  He knows his business, is easy to work with and relieves any stress you might have about your project.  We highly recommend him.  The transformation of our deck is fabulous, and we can't wait for the warm weather to settle in so we can get out and enjoy it!   Have a great rest of the week.

Dave Reed was our general contractor for our home renovation in 2008.  I can't say enough great things about Dave and how the whole process was handled.
